Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Audio Visual (AV) Designer & Consultant at Hewshott located in Philadelphia, PA surrounding area. You must be located within 2 hours of Philadelphia (NYC to DC).
In this role, you will:
Client-facing skills, management, lead meetings
Perform needs analysis and document project brief/scope
Design and document commercial AV systems (educational/professional theatre, sports, corporate/UC, hospitality/landscape)
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., architects, engineers, consultants, Owner's teams) and managing project deliverables and schedules
Project coordination experience, working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports, specifications, and presentations.
Prepare equipment schedules, bill of materials
Provide descriptions of systems w/ cost estimate ranges
Participate in Teams/Zoom meetings (internal and client-facing)
Perform site visits to survey existing venues and systems, attend client meetings in-person, review construction progress, meet with vendors and integrators
Work independently and take direction from project lead and/or Principal/Partner
Work an average of 40-hours per week

The following skills/experiences are a plus, but not required:
AVIXA CTS-D/CTS-I certifications
Experience with Bluebeam
Knowledge of acoustics
Knowledge of lighting & rigging systems
Knowledge of architecture
Knowledge of construction management
Knowledge of construction means & methods

Requirements
Candidates should be familiar with various commercial and professional AV system types and control systems. Bachelor's degree (engineering, AV, IT, or related field) and 5+ years of equivalent professional experience. AVIXA CTS minimum required, CTS-D preferred. A valid driver's license and ability to travel. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (or similar BIM programs), EASE modeling software (or similar programs), and M365. Must be eager to learn and enthusiastic about delivering excellence, collaborating, AV, performing arts, theaters, technology, and how things work.
Prior experience in consultancy or systems integration and client facing role(s) is highly beneficial.
