About the Position:
The Field Technician I is an entrylevel field position responsible for supporting audiovisual installation projects by assisting with basic installation tasks, material handling, cabling support, and jobsite preparation while learning company installation standards, safety requirements, and core AV skills. This role works under the direct supervision of Senior Field Technicians and Field Foremen and is focused on skill development, reliability, and the safe execution of assigned work.
The Field Technician I is not expected to work independently, and all tasks are performed under direction. Safety is the top priority in this role; the technician is expected to stop work and escalate concerns if conditions are unsafe, as safety shortcuts are unacceptable. Questions are encouraged and expected whenever instructions are unclear to ensure safe and correct completion of all tasks.
What You Will Do:
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with audiovisual equipment installation, including displays, speakers, and cameras under supervision
Support cabling efforts by pulling, routing, labeling, and performing basic terminations as trained
Help with material handling, staging, rack setup, and maintaining organized workspaces
Follow all safety protocols, use required PPE, and maintain clean, hazard-free job sites
Protect client property and handle company tools and equipment responsibly
Learn and apply company installation standards while developing technical skills
Communicate progress, report issues or material needs, and support basic documentation efforts
Requirements
Education and Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain; company-supported within 90 days of employment).
Experience:
